Decatur Utilities serves the city limits of Decatur, Ala., with electricity, water, wastewater and natural gas. Incorporated in 1938, the company today has more than 26,500 business and residential customers and maintains more than 590 miles of transmission line. DU works with TVA to offer its customers the energy efficiency program EnergyRight Solutions.
