City of Waverly Sewer Line and Outfall

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has issued an environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact for the proposed grant of a permanent easement over approximately 0.9 acre of TVA land and a temporary construction license over approximately 0.5 acre of TVA property in Humphreys County, Tennessee for the construction and installation of a sewer line and outfall for the City of Waverly’s wastewater treatment plant.  The proposed action also includes approval from TVA under Section 26a of the TVA Act for the new discharge point associated with the proposed outfall.  The proposed improvements to the City of Waverly’s wastewater treatment plant are part of the implementation of a Corrective Action Plan to comply with an Agreed Order with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.  TVA is the lead federal agency in the preparation of this EA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is a cooperating agency.
