East Tenn. Natural Gas Loudon Expansion Project

On April 1, 2016, TVA issued a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) and adopted an environmental assessment (EA) prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to assess a proposal by the East Tennessee Natural Gas, LLC, (ETNG) to install, operate, and maintain a buried high-pressure steel natural gas pipeline. The Loudon Expansion Project would provide natural gas to Tate and Lyle Americas Ingredients, LLC, for a primary term of 20 years from the service commencement date. ETNG requested that TVA grant a 30-year easement over approximately 2.4 acres of TVA fee-owned land on Tellico Reservoir at Bat Creek Embayment, where a portion of the 10-mile long pipeline would be built.
