Rugby-Sunbright Power Supply Improvements

On February 16, 2017, TVA issued an environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for its proposal to improve the existing power supply in the Sunbright, Tennessee area by constructing, operating, and maintaining a 7.5-mile 69-kilovolt transmission line and new Rugby 161-kilovolt substation. TVA would purchase easements that provide the necessary rights to construct, operate, and maintain the proposed transmission line route. The proposed transmission line and substation would occupy approximately 103 acres.
