West Batesville-North Oakland, Mississippi 161-kV Transmission Line

On October 27, 2017, TVA issued an environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for its proposal to supply power to the Charleston, Mississippi service area by constructing, operating, and maintaining a 41-mile 161-kilovolt transmission line. TVA would purchase easements that provide the necessary rights to construct, operate, and maintain the proposed transmission line route. The proposed project would require approximately 497 acres of new right-of-way.
