SR Canadaville Solar Facility

Fayette County, Tennessee

On July 19, 2022, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) issued a final Environmental Assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact for its proposed power purchase agreement (PPA) with a solar generating facility in Fayette County, Tennessee.

The SR Canadaville Solar Facility would be constructed and operated by SR Canadaville, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Silicon Ranch Corporation, and include up to approximately 16 megawatts of alternating current (AC) generating capacity.  In addition to the AC generating capacity, a new substation would be constructed and would connect to the existing Canadaville, Tennessee, 161 kV Substation and Cordova-Diffee 161 kV transmission line to the northwest of the project site. TVA would install new telecommunications and protective relaying equipment within the existing Canadaville Substation, and Chickasaw Electric Company would install seven miles of fiber communication line to existing transmission line poles along the existing right-of-way for communications purposes.  The project site is approximately 0.5 miles southeast of the intersection of SR-196/Chulahoma Road and SR-193/Macon in Fayette County, Tennessee.

The EA evaluates the anticipated environmental impacts of the construction and operation of the solar generating facility and associated electrical connections and can be found at the link below.
