Proposed Permanent Easement on Chickamauga Reservoir for the City of Chattanooga

TVA is considering a request to grant a permanent easement over approximately 90 acres on Chickamauga Reservoir at the Chickamauga Dam Reservation (35°05’26.19”N, 85°13’38.16”W) in Hamilton County, Tennessee. The City of Chattanooga has requested a permanent easement to allow the construction of a law enforcement training center, which includes an obstacle course, K-9 training area, buildings for classrooms, offices, an indoor firing range, a storage facility for explosive ordinance disposal vehicles, equipment, and supplies, an emergency vehicle operator course, and a garage.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties, and to identify any other issues associated with this request prior to deciding on the easement request. Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.
