TVA is at the top of Forbes magazine's 2020 list of best employers in the State of Tennessee — it's a great place to work.

SEPTEMBER 21, 2020 — Want to work at one of the Southeast’s premier employers? Consider joining the ranks at TVA. 

For the second time, TVA has ranked among the nation’s top 100 companies in the annual Forbes magazine list of America’s Best Employers—and as the number two employer for the State of Tennessee among a list of 75 others. 

This year’s study, conducted between October 2019 and May 2020, polled 80,000 Americans at companies with 500 or more employees about the quality of their jobs. Questions centered around work environment, competitive compensation, opportunities for advancement, and openness to teleworking. Forbes and study partner Statista then asked respondents to share whether and how highly they would recommend their employer to others—and in a twist this year, to nominate companies outside their own for inclusion in the rankings.  

The resulting list of top employers totaled 1,461 companies across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with list length varying by number of qualifying employers and the size of the workforce in each state.
