TVA Board of Directors to Hold In-Person Meeting in Bowling Green, Ky.
KNOXVILLE – The Tennessee Valley Authority Board of Directors will conduct its quarterly business meeting on the campus of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky., on Thursday, Feb. 10, beginning at 9:30 a.m. CT. The meeting will be open to the public with appropriate COVID-19 protocols in place and will also be webstreamed live.
A public listening session will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. CT. The public will have opportunities to participate either by submitting written comments online in advance or attending in person.
TVA continues to monitor the ongoing public health and safety concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the safety of those attending the Bowling Green events in person, a number of protocols will be in place to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the state of Kentucky, Western Kentucky University, Warren County and the city of Bowling Green.
Face masks will be required for all participants, regardless of vaccination status. Social distancing will also be in place to ensure seats will be spaced six feet apart, which may limit the number of participants, based on room size. Those feeling ill should not attend but can still participate by submitting written comments for the listening session or viewing the live webstream of the Board meeting.
The Board meeting agenda, as well as details on signing up to participate in the listening session, will be posted on the Board’s webpage on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 3. The live webstream of the Board meeting will also be available on the Board’s webpage, beginning a few minutes before 9:30 a.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 10.
